So maybe my friends Jason and Tony are on to something, but I have a spin on their discussion....In the end I say balance is the key to it all.

Pick your flavor. Are you a republican? Cool. The best Republican president in the last 30 years was Reagan and he had to fight with that red nosed Tip O'Neal.

Are you a dem? The best Dem president in the last 30 years was Clinton (and he also got the most action) and he had to fight with that annoying little Newt.

In the end balance works. Full control does not. Ask Jimmy, or O or even W for a period of time.

I think my facts are correct, if not help a brother out.

So Union cats, and the youngsters that voted for O (you know, you have the apple decal on your Prius), time for you to vote for balance. Please?

The playbook

Everyone is pretty damn deppressed lately. I get it. We have oil gushing, unemployment blows and the confidence of the USA is in the crapper. The good news is the media is focused on important issues like Lindsey Lohan and Mel Gibson. WTF ??

OK, relax. Breathe through the nose and have a stiff drink. Crowne and diet if you have one handy, thanks.....Here is what is going to happen in the next few months. No need to watch the slobbering Matthews or anyone else on cable and if your watching the major networks you have no hope for a future. (Although that gal that is on Morning Joe is totally smoking, but she is dumb as a bag of rocks.)

I have the answers right here. You can buy me a adult beverage next time you see me at your favorite watering hole. I am sure I will be there.

1. Companies are getting leaner and meaner. They are more productive with less workers. That is good and bad. Good for earnings, not good for employment numbers rising dramatically. Keep in mind the economy does not always reflect in the stock market. But keep an eye on the markets, they may surprise you this year on the upside.

2. Most independents feel like they should sit on a bag of frozen peas to ease the pain to their backside after the promises they bought in 2008. November is going to be spectactular if you dig a balanced government. I dig it, how about you?

3. The USA will bounce back, and we can make it through bad policies, we have done it in the past and will do it now. I have a few friends who voted for O, and that is OK, as long as your OK with me knowing what you did. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

4. The oil leak will get plugged in the next few months. I think the President said in the next few weeks 3 weeks ago. But hey, handgrenades and horseshoes right ?

5. The Cubs will win the world series (OK, this one is complete BS) Cards vs. Yankees in the World Series.

6. Rocky Cola will continue to get more handsome everyday (OK, this is completely true)

7. The B.R.I.C.'s are still the place to be. (Brazil, Russia, India & China)

8. The Miami Heat has now made Kobe Bryant an underdog and someone you can root for. How in the hell is that possible? Loyalty and building from the ground up is something most americans believe in, sorry Lebron, but your as much as a KING, as Betty the QUEEN of carpets is out of STL.

9. Apple will invent another product or launch a new version of the phone that they have had for four years, but because they need sales every year, they will launch it approx. 9 months after their last major launch and we will continue to buy a product that we do not really need and wonder how we lived without it for so damn long.

Of course this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Summer lineup

Sammy Hagar in STL. Tom Petty. REO Speedwagon. Pat Benetar. The Eagles... Hmmm. I think I am turning the corner. None of those interest me, some I have seen already, one of them back in 86.

I may actually think about seeing "Alice in Chains" or do I say it, Lady Ga Ga? Looking to mix it up this summer, not really sure where this road will lead.
