So we are in the 3rd month of the year and my new years goal was to read a book a month. By reading, I mean read or audio. I have been traveling much lately, that is why I have been weak on new posts. For those who care.
Here is what I have knocked down so far...
1. The Art of War
2. Decision Points
3. Currently listening to-"Too big to fail", which is 21 hours.
W's book was much better than I thought. I just wonder if anyone who does not like him, could still hate him after listening to his book? My guess is yes. He is one patriotic dude, the left would say to a fault. But every decision he made after 911 was for the safety of all of us. This I strongly believe.
Too big to fail is a little tough for me to listen to, considering that we are still getting out of the mess. But it is very well done, and probably from a writers standpoint, one of the best I have listened to or read in a long time.
Suggestions for April anyone? I am thinking a terrorism/war book. Non Fiction is what I am looking for. I want to continue to learn and advance my knowledge this year, but still be entertained.

I am about finished with Rumsfeld's "Known and Unknown" which has proven to be excellent. Previously, I too, had read "Decision Points" and have to agree with all of your comments regarding same. You will lay down Rumsfeld's book with the same respect.
While I understand your utilization of recorded books, I still enjoy the bound version and generally acquire what I want to keep on my shelves.
Presently have "No He Can't" (about Obama) preordered with Amazon.
Try Robert Baer's "See No Evil" or "Sleeping With the Devil." He was a CIA agent in the mideast for a lot of years and has some nice insights about hot areas like Iran, Egypt, and whatnot. Plus he's a good writer and has some good anecdotes about being chased by Iraqi gunships and talking his way out of some tight spots in former soviet republics, so it's not as dry as a straight foreign policy book would be. There are always those Bob Woodward books about Afghanistan and Iraq, but those always seem a little gossipy to me so I'm not sure how informative they really are. I just finished Team or Rivals about Lincoln. That was a good one.

Rocky I'm not surprised you like Too Big to Fail. Excellent, excellent book.
Two recommendations: "Moneyball" and "The Big Short" both by Michael Lewis. The Big Short ties in well with 2B2F, but if you want a break from the financial crisis, Moneyball is a pretty light read. A must for intelligent baseball fans.
How about 12 months - 12 blogs?
Wow, I read at least 12 books a MONTH. I couldn't survive limiting myself to 12 a year!
Of course I have a liberal dose of fiction mixed in there.
